Podcasts I Love

I am NEW NEW NEW to listening to podcasts, but have been binge-listening for a couple of months now.

Most of them are education-related, of course, but a couple are actually about the real world.

Always a Lesson’s Empowering Educators, by Gretchen Bridgers

This is an interesting one because she always has a point of view. They usually run about 20-25 minutes, which is sort of a perfect length.

The Cult of Pedagogy, by Jennifer Gonzalez

So I think this woman is very famous in the education world, so you might have heard of this one. She’s spent a lot of time thinking about schools and education and there are practical tips in this. She seems to be fond of lists – Six Ed Tech Tools to Try in 2016 – and how-tos – How to Make Better Use of Twitter. But I love lists! And how-tos! So it’s a big win for me.

Moving at the Speed of Creativity, by Wesley A. Fryer

The first one of these that I listened too was very technical but I listened to it to have the words and terms wash over my head and maybe get a little bit used to hearing some of them. But he and his wife have been presenting lately at several conferences, so the last few have been for them to practice their presentations, and his wife is doing fascinating tech-forward things with her elementary classroom. These have been really, really interesting.

Will add more later. . .
